The  School Environmental Projects (PRAE) are a pedagogical strategy that seeks to identify priority environmental situations, from the approach of concerns, needs and particular dynamics of a group in front of its institutional, local and territorial environment, to generate and promote pertinent educational proposals with its realities, within the framework of educational processes and the strengthening of research.

Research Methodology

The Abriendo Caminos Department of Natural Sciences and Environmental Education has been developing its teaching processes  based on the basic standards of competencies issued by the Ministry of National Education, focusing on the axes: living environment, physical environment and science, technology and society environment. Setting in motion  various methodological strategies that aim to develop the skills to understand, explain, investigate and work in a team.

Among the methodological strategies that it implements are: research methodology, research projects, laboratory practices, theoretical deepening through the development of educational modules, reading plan, pedagogical outputs  and execution of environmental campaigns.
